With the World Series on the line in Game 7 of the Fall Classic, emotions have been running high among the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays players.

Dodgers utility player Kike Hernandez displayed his frustration in the fifth inning when the home plate umpire deemed his check swing a strike on a 2-2 pitch count to end his plate appearance. Hernandez shouted in frustration after the strike call.

Fans reacted to the controversial decision, referencing the umpires allowing additional warm up time between innings earlier in the game.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto holds his nerve to escape bases loaded jam in ninth inning

The Dodgers scored a run in the next inning to make it 3-2 before the Blue Jays made it 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning. The defending champions scored a run in the eighth and ninth inning to tie the game at 4-4.

The Blue Jays, who loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, failed to walk it off after the Dodgers' excellent defensive display to get out of the jam and send Game 7 into extra innings.
