The Toronto Blue Jays suffered a 5-1 loss to the LA Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series at home on Saturday. After the defeat, George Springer's wife, Charlise, tried to keep the fanbase's spirits high with a picture of the Blue Jays slugger with their son.Charlise posted a photo of their son, George IV, in his father's arms in the locker room. The two met in 2011 at a sporting event at the University of Connecticut. They welcomed George IV into their lives in February 2021, before they were joined by their daughter in July 2023.Charlise played softball for the Albany Great Danes.Springer also hails from an athletic family. His grandfather played for Central Connecticut State University, while his father, George II, played in the 1976 Little League World Series. Springer's mother was a gymnast, and his sisters also played on their college softball teams.Charlise has been a regular feature supporting her husband as he toils to win his second World Series ring. Springer had been hit by a pitch in Game 5, which led to cheers from Mariners fans.Springer was also hit by a pitch by Yamamoto in the third inning on Saturday. He will hope to respond yet again.
