Kyle Tucker enjoyed a strong season in 2025. Finishing with a .266 batting average, 22 home runs and 73 RBIs, the outfielder helped the Chicago Cubs qualify for the postseason for the first time since 2020, earning his fourth All-Star selection in the process.

Now a free agent, Tucker is linked to a number of clubs, and the LA Dodgers are one of them.

According to insider Doug McKain, however, the outfielder's potential transition to LA may not be as smooth as most fans may expect. Explaining his thoughts, McKain brought up an incident involving the 28-year-old from the 2025 season.

"The injury that he had last year, where he had a calf injury in September. A left calf strain. He was working with the Cubs doctors, but then all of a sudden, Kyle Tucker goes to Tampa, goes back home to Florida, to see his own doctors, to look at his calf.

If that happened in Los Angeles, I think it would have been a big story. Just imagine that. Imagine Kyle Tucker not trusting the Dodgers' health staff," McKain said.

The Dodgers' World Series opponents considered "favorites" to sign Kyle Tucker by executives, per insider

The Dodgers' outfielders struggled for consistent production at the plate in 2025. Hence, the nine-time World Series champions' interest in Kyle Tucker makes a lot of sense.

However, according to insider Jeff Passan, it may be their World Series opponents, the Toronto Blue Jays, that end up securing his services.

In an article he published on ESPN on Tuesday, Passan claimed the Blue Jays were now considered "favorites" to sign Tucker by other major league executives.

"The Blue Jays, coming off their first World Series berth in more than three decades, have no plans to slow down. They are considered the favorite by other executives to land Tucker," Passan wrote.

If they are to succeed in their pursuits, the Blue Jays must be ready to put a significant offer on the table, as reports claim Tucker is looking for an offer exceeding $300 million.
