Ending the regular season with a .311 batting average, 18 home runs and 94 RBI, Bo Bichette played an instrumental role in helping the Toronto Blue Jays enjoy a historic campaign in 2025.

Now a free agent, the 27-year-old is arguably the finest shortstop on the market this winter. However, it appears MLB doesn't share that opinion, as they ranked Miguel Rojas above Bichette when listing the top free agent for every position on Wednesday.

Davis Schneider's dad, Steve, called them out for doing so on X.

"I just woke up… did Bo sign somewhere?" Steve Schneider posted.

Though Bo Bichette's stats for the season were much better than that of Miguel Rojas, the Venezuelan veteran proved his worth to his team by producing the single biggest moment of their season.

With the Dodgers staring down the barrel of defeat in Game 7 of the World Series, Rojas emerged as an unlikely hero, hitting a game-tying solo home run to force extra innings. The Dodgers eventually went on to win after 11 innings, clinching their second consecutive championship.

"Both the Blue Jays and Bo need the market" - Insider weighs in on Bo Bichette's free agency

In an episode of "Blue Jays Today" dated September 16, insider Shi Davidi weighed in on Bichette's free agency.

"I've really felt that both the Blue Jays and Bo Bichette need the market a little bit, to figure out what the right number is. I think Bichette is a bit of a unique player in terms of how you value him.

So, helping the Blue Jays in this instance would be the market, like how do other teams see him? I think the Blue Jays have shown in extending Guerrero that they have the ability to make these kinds of moves. For Bichette, I think the key priority for him all along has been being in a place where he can win, the Blue Jays have taken a significant turn towards that," Davidi said [25:39]
