Toronto Blue Jays slugger Bo Bichette showed up big time in World Series Game 7 against Los Angeles Dodgers ace Shohei Ohtani. After giving up the single to George Springer and intentionally walking Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bichette arrived at the plate.

Ohtani threw him an 88 mph slider that was dispatched to the left-center field stands for a three-run home run. This gave Toronto a 3-0 lead.

"What a waste of money on Ohtani," one fan wrote.
"Shohei Ohtani just lost the Dodgers the World Series. That was one of the truly most hilariously bad pitches I’ve ever seen. Middle middle spinning slider against Bo Bichette hit 500 ft it felt like. Shohei DISASTERCLASS. Love to see it. F*CK THE DODGERS," one fan said.

Bo Bichette returned from injury in World Series

Bo Bichette returned in time for the World Series after being sidelined for over a month since September 6, when he suffered a left knee sprain while sliding into the home plate. Despite the sprained PCL in his left knee, Bichette revealed he doesn't need offseason surgery.

On October 24, the Blue Jays added him to the World Series roster and placed him in the starting lineup of Game 1.

“I think every part of this is a challenge, but I think it would be even if I had been playing,” Bichette said before Game 1 at Rogers Centre. “The World Series is a different animal. Luckily, I’ve had a lot of time in my life at second base, so I have some experience there. I mean, I feel ready to contribute there.”

Bo Bichette shifted from shortstop to second base because of his bad knee, giving the Blue Jays an option to add his at-bat in the lineup. Now it seems that this move might have just won them their first World Series since 1993.
