The Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers have had an intense World Series battle this year and tensions flared in the decisive Game 7 at Rogers Centre on Saturday.

The home team took a 3-0 lead after Bo Bichette's three-run home run off Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani in the third inning. In the following inning, Dodgers reliever Justin Wrobleski, who replaced Ohtani on the mound, hit Blue Jays shortstop Andres Gimenez on the wrist with a fastball.

Gimenez didn't like the pitch from the Dodgers and made his feelings known by throwing his hands in the air. Wrobleski didn't back down as he walked towards the plate. Their verbal exchange led to both benches clearing in the fourth inning. The Dodgers pitcher appeared mouthing off at Gimenez: “F*** you, motherf***er.”

In the next at-bat, veteran Blue Jays slugger George Springer smashed a line drive straight at the Dodgers closer, who was struck on the knee as Springer reached first base.

Fans reacted to the entire sequence in the fourth inning.

"That’s was 100% intentional like what are we doing 😭😂"

"Karma from Springer. Best Springer dinger yet!"

"Do the Dodgers finally wake up and show passion at the plate now or do they go business as usual. They’re getting bats on the ball. Does some extra passion start driving the ball and scoring runs?"

"That dummy was trying to get hit, then got his way."

"Gimenez is easily Jays worst hitter, u gotta question Wrobleski's IQ."

Andres Gimenez restores Blue Jays' two-run lead in World Series-decider against Dodgers

The Dodgers made it a one-run game after Tommy Edman's sacrifice fly made it 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning. However, the Blue Jays responded in the bottom frame as Ernie Clement reached base before Andres Gimenez drove in a run with a RBI double to restore the home team's two-run lead.

The Blue Jays lead the Dodgers 4-2 after seven innings and are two scoreless innings away from dethroning the defending champions.
