Unfortunate update on former champion's health condition following AEW Blood & Guts - Reports

The wrestling world recently received disappointing health news about a top AEW star after their participation in the Blood and Guts match.

Last night's Dynamite featured its first-ever Women's Blood and Guts match. The brutal contest pitted the team of Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla), Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Mone against Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa, Toni Storm, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, and Willow Nightingale. The match, which was marked by vicious spots, was eventually won by the team led by the Triangle of Madness, after Toni Storm surrendered the match to stop the onslaught that the group's final standing member, Mina Shirakawa, was enduring at the hands of Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir.

In the aftermath of the bout, there were many reports around the health condition of the women involved, including one from Fightful, about former AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter.

According to Fightful, Hayter was quite banged up from the match and apparently even had several chipped teeth. However, the news also reported that one person who was spoken to said that she was "as bad ass as you would expect".

Jamie Hayter has been considered a vital part of elevating the Jacksonville-based promotion's women's division to its current status. The former AEW Women's World Champion, who won the gold in November 2022, joined the promotion in its founding year, 2019, earning her status as an original All Elite Wrestling talent. A few weeks ago, on October 23, Hayter marked six years with the Jacksonville-based promotion, celebrating a major milestone in her career.

Following the loss at Dynamite: Blood and Guts 2025, it will be interesting to see what All Elite Wrestling has planned for Jamie in the future as the promotion builds towards its next pay-per-view, Full Gear.
