An unfortunate update has been provided about the WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair after he was expected to show up on AEW Dynamite. Prayers are up for The Nature Boy.It was officially announced during Collision last Saturday that the WWE legends, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat would be appearing on AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts this week. Steamboat was featured during a heated segment with the FTR, which ended in an altercation before Brodido showed up to help the legend in taking out Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.However, Ric Flair was not seen despite being announced for the show. According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Flair was in attendance during Dynamite: Blood and Guts, but he left after a brief appearance in front of the crowd because he was in "a ton of pain" after a recent rotator cuff tear.It was also reported that The Nature Boy was originally booked for the FTR and Ricky Steamboat segment, but AEW had to make changes to the show because Flair had to leave.Sportskeeda wishes a speedy recovery to The Nature Boy.Ric Flair wants to be a heel in AEWRic Flair arrived in AEW in 2023 to join his long-time friend, Sting, in his retirement. Speaking on The Wrestling Classic following his arrival, Ric said he would stay with Tony Khan's promotion a few more years after Sting's retirement and would like to be a heel there as well:“I’ve known Tony [Khan] for a long time, we’ve been great friends. And the opportunity just presented itself, probably because of Sting. But I’ll be there a couple of years after Sting is gone too. I don’t know what it leads to. Obviously, I want to be a heel again somewhere,” Flair said.The Nature Boy has made occasional appearances on AEW TV since Sting retired last year. Only time will tell when he will be seen again.
