The Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite on November 26 kicked off this year's Continental Classic tournament. One of the opening matches featured Darby Allin facing Kevin Knight in a high-flying contest. The bout concluded unexpectedly, with the Upstart defeating the Daredevil in a big upset. However, it was soon revealed that Allin had suffered an undisclosed injury during the match. This injury not only kept the former TNT champion hospitalized for an extended time but also resulted in his removal from the Continental Classic Tournament. A new report from Fightful provides fresh details about Daredevil's previously unknown injury.

In the most recent edition of Fightful Weekly Q&A, wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp mentioned that Allin had clipped his leg weirdly in a spot earlier in the match and was legitimately hospitalized. However, Ross also noted that he was released before that angle aired on TV and that the extent of his injury remains unknown.

Darby Allin recently confirmed his AEW future is uncertain

Last week on Collision, Darby Allin was replaced in the Continental Classic Tournament by "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry. Following this announcement, the Daredevil was shown cutting a promo outside the arena, urging Perry to win the whole thing while hinting that his own future is uncertain.

"Now I hear, Jack Perry is taking my spot. I've never seen eye to eye Jack Perry, but if you're taking my spot man, just go on win the whole thing. I hope you do. As for Darby, I don't know, don't....know," said Allin.

Time will tell when the fan favourite Daredevil will finally be back in All Elite Wrestling.
