Britt Baker has been missing from AEW television since late last year. Now, a disappointing report has emerged regarding her potential return to the company.

Towards the beginning of this year, rumors began circulating that Britt Baker's time in All Elite Wrestling may have reached its end, based on reports of her supposed backstage unpopularity and conflicts. The former AEW Women's World Champion's continued absence from the company's programming fed into speculations that the star was looking to part ways with the promotion, although subsequent reports clarified that she will likely be under contract for a while longer.

When asked about her status in All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan has maintained that Britt Baker is still with the company, revealing in a recent interview that he hoped to have her back "hopefully soon." Regardless of his remarks, however, the latest report from Fightful Select claims that The Doctor has not been mentioned or factored into creative plans lately.

Baker was last seen in action on the November 13 episode of Dynamite last year, where she defeated Penelope Ford in a one-on-one match.

Britt Baker's former AEW rival on a potential rematch with her

Among Britt Baker's most noteworthy feuds in All Elite Wrestling is her rivalry with Thunder Rosa, one of the most intense and personal programs in the history of the company's women's division. The two have not met in singles competition since La Mera Mera beat The DMD for her AEW Women's World Title in 2022.

Rosa, who has been out of action herself, recently addressed the possibility of rekindling her feud with Baker during her interview with Masks, Mats, and Mayhem. The Mexican star claimed that the call to work with Britt was not up to either her or Baker, stating:

“Again, it’s not up to me. It’s not up to her. It’s up to the people above us. That’s above my pay grade. I mean, I would love to. I think it would be a good idea to close the chapter on our story and do it right. That’s what I’m saying — it’s time to finish the story. Give her another chance. It’s not me giving her another chance — I mean, for years I’ve been saying we should finish. I’ve called her out plenty of times, yes. I don’t know if it will happen.”

It remains to be seen when Britt Baker will return to AEW television.
