Andrade El Idolo made his shocking AEW return on an episode of Dynamite last month, just weeks after his WWE departure. However, he was not seen on TV the following week, and it was reported that he still has a 1-year non-compete clause on his Stamford-based promotion contract following his recent departure.

Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio has now reported that Andrade walked out of The Crash XIV Aniversario show in Tijuana on Friday, November 7. He added that El Idolo was unhappy. Dave also stated that Andrade's WWE non-compete clause was only applicable in the United States, and he can work in Mexico:

"Andrade was on the show [The Crash], probably the main attraction on the show. He was there signing autographs and then he left. The only thing that we heard was that he was unhappy. His non-compete is only United States so he can work in Tijuana, he can work Mexico City," Meltzer noted. [H/T Cultaholic]

Andrade reached out to an ex-WWE star regarding his legal situation amid AEW absence

The former WWE star, David Otunga, shared that Andrade reached out to him regarding his legal situation with the Stamford-based promotion. Speaking on TMZ's Inside The Ring, Otunga disclosed:

“Everybody was telling me, ‘Hey, you should reach out to Andrade. Make sure he should see this.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, actually, Andrade probably should see my video.’ And then he did. I'll say this — reached out and we spoke. Can't really get into it more than that, but I'm just happy that the videos I'm putting out are actually helping people. They're actually helping wrestlers."

Fans will have to wait and see if Andrade will win his battle with the WWE about the alleged 1-year no-compete and will return to AEW.
