A popular AEW star vacated his title due to injury recently and could reportedly be undergoing surgery as well. The star has been replaced due to injury.The AEW star Rush was forced to vacate his Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship due to injury. He won the title along with Sammy Guevara three months ago. After he vacated the title, Rush got replaced by The Beast Mortos of LFI as Guevara's partner, and the duo would be competing for the vacant titles at ROH Final Battle on December 5.According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, Rush was working through a bad knee, which worsened the injury. It was also noted that the 37-year-old star will be evaluated next week and will certainly undergo surgery. Therefore, he is expected to be out of action for a while.Rush last competed on the November 15th episode of Collision, where he teamed with Sammy Guevara and FTR to suffer a defeat against Bandido, JetSpeed, and Juice Robinson. Furthermore, LFI's Dralistico will also be out due to injury.Tony Khan announced AEW star's replacement for a major showAside from being the ROH World Tag Team Champion, the AEW star Rush was also announced for the Ring of Honor World title match, along with the current champ, Bandido, Sammy Guevara, Hechicero, and Blake Christian at Final Battle 2025.However, Tony Khan recently announced on X that Rush will not be able to compete in the ROH World title match due to injury, so Kommander will replace him:"With Rush out of #ROHFinalBattle after his injury vs Bandido on Collision 11/15, Komander was called up for the World Title Survival of the Fittest.
