Released WWE star to return to AEW and immediately align with Mercedes Mone at Blood & Guts? Possibility explored

On this week's AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts, there are going to be two Blood and Guts matches.

The men's showdown will feature Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, and The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O'Reilly) against Death Riders. Meanwhile, the team of Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, and Mina Shirakawa will lock horns with Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Mone.

Fans are expecting the women's Blood and Guts to be a brutal affair. Interestingly, Tony Khan might surprise fans during this showdown. Former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin might return to All Elite Wrestling and immediately align with Mercedes Mone. Furthermore, she might help the heel team defeat Hayter, Nightingale, Cameron, Statlander, Storm, and Shirakawa.

Dolin made a few appearances on AEW in 2019 and 2020. She joined WWE in 2021 but was released earlier this year. She is now wrestling on the independent circuit. However, in a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, the 28-year-old revealed that she is quite interested in rejoining the Jacksonville-based company.

"But I think going into – coming out of this year and going into 2026 – I think I, I don’t know. I think I’d really like to maybe go to AEW. I think there’s, I think there’s a lot of stuff that was left on the table," she said.

All this is just speculation at this point. Nevertheless, a partnership between Mone and Dolin would make for some unmissable sports entertainment.

Gigi Dolin reveals that she hasn't reached out to AEW yet

In the aforementioned interview, Dolin stated that she isn't in a rush to wrestle on television, and she hasn't contacted All Elite Wrestling yet. She also revealed that she has been quite busy.
