A top AEW star has been trying to make a mark as a singles attraction. Yet President and CEO Tony Khan wants him to take a familiar direction, which led to him bursting out in anger. The aforementioned star, who is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion, is Max Caster. He and Anthony Bowens rose to prominence as the formidable tag team, The Acclaimed. After years of successful partnerships, tensions led to the duo disbanding as a team in January 2025, and both stars went their separate ways. However, Caster and Bowens have reunited on a few occasions, most recently, on last week's Collision, only to break out in a fight amongst each other. On the November 8 edition of Collision, tensions continued to escalate between them in a backstage segment, and Max Caster dragged Tony Khan into the mix.Anthony Bowens announced his upcoming participation in the AEW Tailgate Brawl alone, with Caster saying that he will be at the show as well. However, backstage interviewer Lexy Nair informed the duo that, as per Tony Khan's orders, they would compete as a comprehensive unit, given that they had drawn huge numbers in ratings and merchandise together. This did not sit well with Max Caster, who launched a verbal barrage on Khan. Moreover, he even warned the All Elite Wrestling head honcho that he would regret his decision before storming off from the scene, saying that he would not at all appear at the Tailgate Brawl show."Ok, Tony, if I may, this is really what you think of me? You know how insulting this is? I promise you will regret the way that you treated me, coz you can't act like ... people don't love the Best Wrestler Alive alone and you can't act like he [Anthony Bowens] doesn't represent your company at all those outside events by himself. I don't go to those, and he is not the Best Wrestler Alive."Tony Khan is set to present AEW Full Gear 2025Tony Khan's All Elite Wrestling will present another edition of Tailgate Brawl leading up to their pay-per-view event, Full Gear 2025. The show will feature an array of top names like Hangman Adam Page, Mercedes Mone, Samoa Joe, and others. With Max Caster and Anthony Bowens bluntly stating that they will not appear at the Tailgate Brawl show, it remains to be seen how Tony Khan will deal with the situation.
