34-year-old AEW star drops a huge WWE reference ahead of Full Gear 2025

AEW's women's division is loaded with talent. The reigning Women's World Champion is Kris Statlander, while Mercedes Mone is the TBS Champion. They are going to lock horns at Full Gear 2025 for the former's title.

One of All Elite Wrestling's most talented female stars is Ruby Soho. However, she has been out of action since mid-2023 due to the birth of her daughter. Earlier this year, reports suggested that the 34-year-old had resumed training. Hopefully, she will return to the squared circle in a few months.

Soho is a former WWE star. Her name in the Stamford-based company was Ruby Riott, and she was there for five years. Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan (later known as Valhalla) were a faction called The Riott Squad. The three stars were not just a well-oiled machine, but they are also good friends in real life.

Ahead of AEW Full Gear 2025, the Indiana native shared a photo on Instagram. She has the date, November 21, 2017, tattooed on her neck. This was the very day The Riott Squad was formed. The handles of Morgan and Logan were also tagged in this story.

Former WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley heaps praise on AEW star Ruby Soho

Rhea Ripley and the former Ruby Riott are close friends. In a 2024 interview with BWGS Pod, the Australian star called the 34-year-old an inspiration.

"I don’t actually give her enough credit. But Ruby Riott, she was the first one that I really looked at and was like, wow, she’s covered in tattoos. She’s got short hair, she looks super cool and I remember tagging with her quite a few times on the coconut shows which are like the non-televised (shows) and she helped me just bring out that side of me that was me," she said. Soho has the potential to play a massive role in AEW's future. Only time will tell what Tony Khan has planned for her.
