WWE veteran explains how AEW could've brought The Dudley Boyz over (Exclusive)

The Dudley Boyz were one of the most successful tag teams in WWE and outside of it during their long stint in the professional wrestling industry. The duo, consisting of D-Von and Bubba Ray Dudley, appeared for many promotions throughout their career but never made an appearance in AEW.

WWE veteran Vince Russo worked with the Dudley Boyz during their time together in WWE. He recently revealed how All Elite Wrestling could've brought the former tag team champions over to the promotion while talking on the latest episode of Writing with Russo on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge

He revealed that conversations did take place between AEW and D-Von Dudley to get them on board. However, there was a clear disconnect between the two parties, and the move never materialized. He claimed that the duo would've signed for the promotion if they were fit and had Tony Khan the money they wanted.

"I think a lot of that had to do with you know, he was injured. There was just an absolute disconnect, but let's come on like guys like with all due respect, if Tony would have offered the magic number and everybody was healthy, that would have been the bottom line," Russo said.

The Dudley Boyz spent most of their career making a name for themselves through their hardcore and extreme style of wrestling. Together with The Hardy Boyz and Edge, and Christian, they were responsible for the creation of the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

They are a part of both the TNA and WWE Halls of Fame, being included in the former in 2014 and the latter in 2018. They were even crowned as the inaugural TNA World Tag Team Champions, and both of them won singles gold while part of Total Nonstop Action.
