WWE has dropped an interesting video on its Vault YouTube channel, revisiting Cody Rhodes' rivalry with The Authority. The American Nightmare found himself feuding with Triple H & Co. back in 2013 after he stood up for Daniel Bryan, aka Bryan Danielson.

This feud involved several superstars picking sides. While Rhodes had support from Goldust and Bryan, The Authority enlisted the help of The S.H.I.E.L.D. and Big Show. This saga even led to Cody and Goldust capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships from Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at Battleground 2013.

In the hour-long video, WWE mentions AEW stars Bryan and Jon Moxley multiple times. In fact, a direct encounter between the two stars is also showcased. The team of Cody Rhodes, Goldust, and Bryan faced off against The S.H.I.E.L.D. on the October 7, 2013, edition of RAW. The match was initially called off via Disqualification after Dean Ambrose, aka Moxley, used a steel chair on Cody. However, Triple H restarted the match under No DQ rules. The encounter ended after Randy Orton showed up and hit an RKO on Bryan outside the ring, allowing Rollins to pin him for the three-count.

WWE also referenced another AEW star

The video on Cody Rhodes' rivalry with The Authority also references Goldust, aka Dustin Rhodes, multiple times. The iconic wrestler initially tried to beat Randy Orton to get Cody reinstated on the RAW roster.

Goldust also teamed up with Cody to defeat Seth and Roman to win the tag titles at Battleground 2013. It was an emotional night for the Rhodes family as Dusty Rhodes was also at ringside to see his two boys bring home championship gold. The entire RAW roster showed up to greet and congratulate the babyfaces.

Dustin is out of action in AEW currently, after a double knee replacement surgery. The star is training to get in shape and has shared reports that he will be ready to return to the ring by March 2026.
