WWE suddenly drops a huge Saraya (fka Paige) reference

Former AEW star Saraya made headlines after WWE unexpectedly dropped a Paige reference.

Saraya Bevis is a name synonymous with wrestling fans because of her storied career in professional wrestling. The Anti-Diva had to retire from in-ring competition due to complications from a neck injury she sustained in 2018 while performing in WWE under the ring name Paige. However, she returned to the ring when she joined AEW in 2022 and went on to become a Women's World Champion. Yet, the 33-year-old left the Jacksonville-based promotion in March this year to focus on her podcast and other ventures. As Saraya navigates life away from pro-wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment recently made a reference to Paige in a video they uploaded on their YouTube channel titled "Impromptu title changes: WWE Playlist."

The video, which was uploaded just hours ago, features a series of impromptu title matches that took place in the promotion over the years, in which the title changed hands. Interestingly, it includes John Cena defeating Dominik Mysterio for his Intercontinental title last week on RAW. A few minutes into the video, a 2014 RAW segment between then-Divas champion AJ Lee and Paige is shown, where Lee challenges Paige and puts her title on the line. Paige eventually wins the match.

Saraya (fka Paige) recently revealed her obsession over WWE legend Lita

Saraya's ongoing break from professional wrestling hasn't prevented her from discussing the business and sharing her opinions. The Anti-Diva, known for not shying away from bold comments, recently revealed that she was obsessed with WWE Hall of Famer Lita.

Speaking on a recent edition of her Rule Breakers podcast, the former AEW Women's World Champion said that she used to steal her mother's lingerie to replicate Lita's attire in the Stamford-based promotion.

“You know what I used to do? I was obsessed with shorts. I was obsessed with Lita the wrestler growing up, and I was really, really young, and obviously wasn’t wearing thongs. So, I stole my mom’s thongs,” she said. [H/T: Ringside News]
