A WWE veteran revealed why he doesn't respect AEW President Tony Khan. Since All Elite Wrestling's arrival, many Hall of Famers have criticized the company for its rebellious style. Eric Bischoff has also been critical of Khan in the past few years. The veteran appeared on AEW TV in 2021. However, things fell apart between the two later that year.As we all know, Bischoff served as Senior Vice President in WCW, which aired on TNT. AEW also airs on the same network. In 2021, Tony Khan posted an interesting tweet claiming that if Ted Turner had better knowledge than him, WCW would still be around. This comment by the AEW President didn't sit well with Eric Bischoff. While speaking with Action, the WWE Hall of Famer said the aforementioned comment was the reason why he doesn't respect Tony Khan."Tony [Khan] made some ridiculous comment to the effect of, ‘If Ted Turner knew 1% about professional wrestling as I do, WCW would still be around’. It was such a profoundly stupid thing to say that it made me lose respect for Tony. It also indicated to me that Tony doesn’t really understand the business he’s in. Tony has the benefit of having a couple billion dollars behind him. He doesn’t really need to worry about performance from a revenue perspective, because he’s not really accountable to anybody," Bischoff said. For that punk a** to come out and take a shot at [Ted] Turner while his a** has a show on Turner Broadcasting was so disrespectful to Ted that I lost all respect for him," Bischoff said.It remains to be seen if Khan responds to Bischoff's comments.
