A WWE veteran recently made a major revelation about his sons' wrestling careers, who had performed in AEW. D-Von Dudley has been criticizing Tony Khan for the past few days over his poor experience in the promotion. While D-Von wanted to be a producer, Tony insisted that he should join AEW as a wrestler. Things didn't work out between the two parties.
The WWE Hall of Famer's two sons had performed in the Jacksonville-based promotion from 2020 to 2022. Terrell and Terrence Hughes occasionally appeared on Dark shows as Hughes Bros. However, they didn't become All Elite or sign with the promotion. Many believe this may be the prime reason D-Von is criticizing the company.
While speaking on Duke LovesRassling, Dudley clarified that he wants his sons to join NXT rather than AEW, as the WWE legends in the developmental brand would guide the duo well.
"I read some comments that I’m probably saying the things I’m saying because he (Tony Khan) didn’t hire my boys full-time. That’s not it at all. I didn’t want them to go to AEW in the first place because I thought they were going to be lost in the shuffle. I’d rather them go to NXT and work down there with Shawn and Matt Bloom and Terry Taylor and Fit Finley, minds that I know I can trust that would lead my sons in the right direction," he said. WWE veteran D-Von Dudley goes after another AEW name
QT Marshall is known as one of the important figures backstage in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
While speaking on Duke LovesRassling, D-Von said that QT isn't 'credible' and called him Tony Khan's lackey.
"I hate to say this, but QT Marshall ain’t credible. You know, he’s a former student of mine, but I don’t have any nice words for him, and he knows that. I know he kisses Tony’s behind and Tony loves that with him. So, you know, it is what it is with this guy," he said.
It remains to be seen what other stories will come out from the Hall of Famer in the future.
