Will Ospreay is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world right now. The Aerial Assassin has been able to deliver standout performances in the ring consistently. Therefore, he is a fan favorite among wrestling fans. Outside the ring, Ospreay is engaged to fellow AEW star Alex Windsor and is the stepfather to her son, Harry. Ospreay's desire to be able to raise his step-son in the United Kingdom is the reason he chose to sign with AEW instead of WWE.

Update on Will Ospreay's in-ring return

Ospreay last competed at Forbidden Door 2025. Following this match, he has been off TV to deal with neck issues. He underwent successful neck surgery in September and is on the road to recovery. There was speculation that the Aerial Assassin could return in January 2026. However, that may not be the case.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Ospreay still has a long way to go before returning to the ring. Meltzer reported that the AEW star will be able to start doing lightweight workouts in January.
