Jon Moxley has been going through a tough time in AEW ever since he lost the World Championship at All In: Texas back in July. Since then, the One True King has lost several high-profile matches at multiple pay-per-views. Meanwhile, Moxley is also competing in the 2025 Continental Classic tournament and has struggled there as well. The Purveyor of Violence started off strong, winning his first blue league match against Mascara Dorada, but he lost the next two, one to his ally Claudio Castagnoli and the other to Konosuke Takeshita, on the most recent episode of Collision.

After the loss, Moxley and Castagnoli were seen backstage doing sprints, with Marina Shafir timing them. Once he finished, Moxley delivered an emotional promo in which he admitted he had no more room for error but refused to give up on the Continental Classic tournament.

"This s*t ain't over. Now I know there is not a lot of room for error. I've used up all my errors. This s*t ain't over, it ain't over, not by a long shot. There's a lot of tournament left," Moxley said (1:13 - 1:34)

AEW star Jon Moxley is reportedly not joining WWE anytime soon

In the main event of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, the team of Vision, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar defeated Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and the Usos. The match ended with Bron Breakker pinning the Second City Saint after a spear. Before that, a masked individual had interfered on behalf of Vision and curb stomped Punk.

While the masked individual's identity has been the subject of speculation since, one name thrown into the mix was that of AEW star Jon Moxley. A Facebook page called "WWE is in my DNA" claimed in a post that it was the Purveyor of Violence who was behind the mask. However, a new report from Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Moxley is not joining WWE anytime soon.
