After picking up a trios victory over their opponents, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia were met with a markedly hostile response from the crowd, including having objects thrown at them.Despite failing to defeat the alliance of Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, and the Conglomeration in the 2025 Men's Blood and Guts match last month, and in spite of Jon Moxley subsequently tapping out to Kyle O'Reilly once again later at AEW Full Gear, The Death Riders are looking to bounce back to winning ways as three of its members have entered this year's Continental Classic. The stable's "Emissary of Violence", Claudio Castagnoli, recently brought championship gold back to the group, as he ended Gran Guerrero's 1000-plus day reign as CMLL World Heavyweight Champion in Arena Mexico this past Friday.The faction's up-and-comers, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta, were less successful at the event as they failed to unseat Los Hermanos Chavez for the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. However, the budding Death Riders' members were victorious alongside Castagnoli in a trios match against Difunto, Esfinge & Ultimo Guerrero in Arena Coliseo last Saturday.Clips of Garcia, Yuta, and The Swiss Cyborg drew emphatically hostile reactions from the crowd. It became a potentially serious incident as they even got beer cups hurled at them. The incident is now making the rounds on X/Twitter, showcasing the group's success at generating heat as a villainous team even outside of AEW.Two Death Riders will butt heads on AEW Dynamite this weekJon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Pac have all begun their 2025 Continental Classic campaigns successfully, bagging their first wins and three points against Mascara Dorada, Orange Cassidy, and 'Speedball' Mike Bailey, respectively.
