Chris Jericho has been linked to a potential return to WWE next year, with many speculating that this could be at the Royal Rumble. Amidst these rumors, the USA Network has suddenly referenced Y2J on social media.

The Nueve may no longer return to AEW, as he has not been seen on the promotion for around eight months. His contract with the company is also up by the end of the year. In the case that he decides not to re-sign, this would end his six-year tenure with the promotion.

The USA Network has posted an iconic moment of Jericho on its Instagram account. This was when he became the first-ever WWE Undisputed Champion after defeating both The Rock and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at Vengeance in 2001. He unified both the WCW and WWF world titles that night.

WWE recently posted another iconic moment in its history featuring Chris Jericho

Y2J has been in the wrestling business for roughly three and a half decades, and he has had his fair share of competitions from promotions all over the world.

However, he is most known for his run in WWE, which started in the early 2000s. Last night, the Stamford-based promotion posted a clip of John Cena being drafted to RAW in 2005.

During that night, Chris Jericho was holding his show, the Highlight Reel. He was having the unknown first pick of the draft as his guest, so he had the honor of revealing who this was to the crowd. The excited look on Jericho's face after finding out Cena was his guest added to this iconic moment.

Unfortunately, it seems like the two icons won't be able to cross paths in WWE anymore. John Cena is set to retire this weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event, so if Jericho indeed returns to the company next year, Cena will have retired by then.
