An update has come in regarding an absent AEW tag team and their potential future with the company. This comes following WWE's interest in the duo as they are headed towards the latter parts of their deals. Private Party has not been seen since late January, when they lost the world tag team titles to the Hurt Syndicate. They have also barely competed even on the independent circuit, with their last match overall being back in March. They also made headlines a few months ago for seemingly bulking up and having a much more massive physique.Amidst their interest from WWE, Fightful Select has shed some clarity on their immediate future. It was reported that the duo is still under contract with AEW, but it seems that their contracts won't expire at the same time. Injury time may be added, seemingly to Quen's after he went on a hiatus in 2023. There is also no information on whether they wish to leave the promotion after their deals end. Fightful mentioned back in August how the group has advised Zay & Quen to hit the gym more often. At the time, the Hurt Syndicate were still the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they were seemingly willing to drop these to them.
