Two major AEW stars have teamed up on tonight's Dynamite to take on a major stable. At Full Gear, Samoa Joe defeated Hangman Page for the World Championship with the help of Hook. The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil turned on the Cowboy and reunited with his old group, the Opps. However, as the bloody Samoan Submission Machine was standing tall in the ring along with the rest of the stable and the newly introduced 'Opps Dojo', Swerve Strickland made his return.While Samoa Joe believed that the Most Dangerous Man in AEW had returned to reignite his feud with Hangman, he actually went after him and the rest of the stable. Swerve fought the majority of the Opps Dojo. Later, the Cowboy assisted him, hence teasing an alliance. The pay-per-view ended with Hangman and Swerve standing tall in the ring, staring at the newly crowned champion.On tonight's Dynamite, the Opps entered the ring to celebrate Samoa Joe's grand victory. He then also introduced Hook, but the latter was heavily booed for his actions. Fans then got excited as Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland entered the building. Both had steel chains around their necks. As the two former AEW World Champions slowly made their way into the ring, the Opps slipped out.Meanwhile, Strickland and Page invaded the ring and took out the Opps Dojo with steel chains. The segment ended with the babyface duo looking at Samoa Joe and the Opps. It seems like the two have officially joined forces and might stay together until they take down the Opps.Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page were fierce rivals in 2023 and 2024. However, their dynamics changed between them when the Realest star helped the Cowboy win the AEW World Championship. It is still unclear who will go after Samoa Joe for the world title at Worlds End.
