A major WWE star caught fans' attention after he paid tribute to a Death Riders member on RAW.This week's Monday Night RAW marked John Cena's final appearance on the Stamford-based promotion's longest-running show. On the show, Cena, while addressing the crowd, was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, the man he defeated to win the Intercontinental Championship last Monday. Shortly afterward, Mysterio was joined by Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh), and the trio attacked the Last Real Champion. However, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio came to Cena's aid, setting up an impromptu six-man tag match. During the bout, Sheamus made a surprising reference to Death Riders member Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro).Castagnoli previously teamed up with the Celtic Warrior during his time in WWE, and their tag team was called "The Bar." In the match, Sheamus seemingly paid tribute to his former partner by using his signature "giant swing" on Dominik Mysterio. Cena's team went on to win that bout.Former WWE star EC3 recently shared how he felt after experiencing Claudio's Giant Swing. On a recent episode of UnSKripted, former WWE star and wrestling veteran EC3 described his experience of being on the receiving end of Castagnoli's Giant Swing, saying he had "accepted death.""I cannot spin for the life of me, and that's the first time I have ever been in it. And like 3 tilts in, I remember I am like, I accepted death, and I welcomed it. While I was swinging there, 'cause I am like 'This is just the worst for me.' But eventually I survived and I got launched out of it," he said. You can check out his comments here.As of today, Claudio Castagnoli seems satisfied with his role in AEW as part of the Death Riders, but it will be interesting to see if he will ever consider returning to World Wrestling Entertainment.
