The Don Callis Family has not been successful in their campaigns tonight at the pay-per-view. During the Tailgate Brawl, they ended up losing to El Sky Team for the CMLL Trios Titles. This loss was due to Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita continuing to struggle to be on the same page.

Later during the show, Kyle Fletcher dropped the TNT Championship to Mark Briscoe during their No Disqualification match. This was a crucial loss as he was just about to become the man with the most TNT Title defenses in history.

The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Konosuke Takeshita, grew frustrated but also made a major revelation, stating that he had entered the tournament as well. Don Callis liked the idea because this meant there were more chances for a member of his Family to walk out as the tournament winner.

Moments later, Kyle Fletcher walked out and was frustrated as neither Okada nor Takeshita came to his aid during his match, and he ended up losing his title. He wanted to get another title around his waist as he revealed that he was also entering the tournament.
