The AEW President, Tony Khan sent out a heartfelt message for a major AEW star for his historic World title win. The star recently captured the world title outside the Jacksonville-based promotion.
The top AEW star, Claudio Castagnoli received a message from Tony Khan for his huge world title win. Claudio recently captured the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship by ending the historic three-year world title reign of Gran Guerrero at the recent Viernes Espectacular event in Arena Mexico.
Taking to the X social media platform, Tony Khan congratulated the AEW star, Claudio Castagnoli, for winning the CMLL World title with a heartwarming message, saying he is proud to have an All Elite star as the champion in CMLL:
"Congratulations to @ClaudioCSRO, the NEW @CMLL_OFICIAL World Heavyweight Champion! On behalf of AEW, we’re very proud to have an @AEW star, especially one of Claudio’s immense stature, as Champion in CMLL! Congratulations to CMLL, I think that Claudio will be a great Champion!" Tony wrote.

Meanwhile, Claudio Castagnoli is slated to face his Death Riders stablemate, Jon Moxley, in his first Continental Classic match this Wednesday on Dynamite as well.

At Full Gear 2025, Samoa Joe captured the AEW World Championship by defeating Hangman Adam Page. Joe is set for his first title defense at Dynamite: Winter is Coming on December 10.
Tony Khan took to X to announce that Samoa Joe will defend his AEW World title against Eddie Kingston at Winter is Coming on December 10:
"#AEWDynamite Winter Is Coming 8pm ET/7pm CT Wednesday, 12/10 AEW World Title @SamoaJoe vs Eddie Kingston After The Mad King beat The Wrestler at Thanksgiving #Collision + called out Samoa Joe it will be Samoa Joe vs Eddie Kingston for the AEW World Title at Winter Is Coming!" Khan announced.
Fans will have to wait and see who walks out of Winter is Coming as the AEW World Champion.
