Samoa Joe captured the All Elite Wrestling World Championship last weekend at the Full Gear pay-per-view. During a chaotic Steel Cage match, The Opps got involved and tried to cost Hangman the title. HOOK and Eddie Kingston came out to even the odds, but little did they know that The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil was a mole, and he would be the one to land the final assist for Joe to win the title.

Yesterday on Collision, Eddie Kingston was in action, seeking retribution against The Opps. He took on Katsuyori Shibata. After taking the win, he cut an emotional promo, calling out Joe and asking for a world title shot for Winter is Coming on December 10. Tony Khan has now made this official through an announcement on social media.

Samoa Joe has enemies left and right in AEW

After The Opps executed their plan at Full Gear, capped off by HOOK's major heel turn, they have now positioned themselves at the top of the company. They're now in possession of both the world title and the World Trios Titles.

A few days ago, on Dynamite, the faction made an appearance to celebrate their recent success. Samoa Joe gave a few words before giving HOOK the floor, but before he could say more, both Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page came out. The two made a beeline for the ring, but they were thwarted by members of The Opps Dojo, whom Joe used as human shields so they could escape.

While Samoa Joe needs to focus on Eddie Kingston for now, he can't stay completely complacent, as Swerve and Hangman are still hunting for him. But with The Opps having a lot of firepower, they might be able to hold their ground, despite sharks swarming around them.
