Tony Khan makes a huge AEW announcement ahead of Full Gear 2025

AEW President Tony Khan announced a major match with title implications ahead of the 2025 Full Gear pay-per-view. The match will take place during the special three-hour block for Dynamite and Collision on Wednesday.

Tony Khan announced a major match for the AEW Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada. While Okada has not been announced for a bout at Full Gear 2025 yet, he will compete in a bout with title implications this week.

Taking to X, Tony Khan announced that Kazuchika Okada will take on CMLL star Mascara Dorada on Wednesday. If Mascara wins, he will get a future shot at the Unified Title. Meanwhile, if Okada wins, the Don Callis Family will earn a future shot at the CMLL World Trios Title.

Tony also sent the following message hyping up the match:

Tony Khan announced another title match for AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan announced the Undisputed Ring of Honor World Television Championship match after Collision last Saturday. Mercedes Mone won the interim ROH World TV Title, but Red Velvet holds the actual championship and has returned.

Mercedes and Velvet will compete to determine the Undisputed ROH World Television Champion on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if Mercedes keeps the title heading into the AEW Women's World Title match at Full Gear on Saturday.
