AEW was founded in 2019 by Tony Khan and a few wrestlers. The Jacksonville-based company is now massive and WWE's archrival. "Hangman" Adam Page is the reigning AEW World Champion, while Kris Statlander holds the AEW Women's World Championship.
It has been six years since All Elite Wrestling was founded, and the promotion has already delivered several epic storylines and rivalries. Some of the most memorable ones are the Page-Strickland feud, the Storm-May rivalry, the MJF-CM Punk program, and more.
In 2023, Maxwell Jacob Friedman began a storyline with former WWE star Adam Cole. Its beginning and middle were amazing. However, its ending left many fans with a sour taste. Nonetheless, the controversial angle had its moments, and Tony Khan is quite fond of it.
Khan heaped praise on the storyline in the new book titled 'This Book Is All Elite’. The 43-year-old said that The Salt of the Earth and the former TNT Champion had amazing chemistry. He added that the duo's equation helped the company produce some extraordinary professional wrestling content.

“I think pro wrestling at its best can be about all different kinds of rivalries and relationships, friendships and grudges. The charisma of Adam Cole and MJF together as a team clicked so well, and the story of their friendship resonated with people all over the word and created some of the best AEW TV ever,” Khan said. Tony Khan praises WWE star John Cena

In a recent interview with Z100 New York, Khan showered The Cenation Leader with sincere praise.
"John Cena is absolutely a legendary pro wrestler who came into the space and became a huge star very quickly on television because he has so much charisma. He’s also one of the hardest-working people in pro wrestling," Khan said. [H/T: Vice]
Although it is unlikely, it will be interesting to see if John Cena wrestles in AEW someday. Only time will tell what the future holds for him.
