Tony Khan has received heavy praise for his booking in n AEW this year. The Jacksonville-based company has been putting on a consistently good product on a weekly basis along with some iconic monthly pay-per-views. However, fans erupted after WWE Legend and current AEW signee Paul Wight (fka Big Show) teased one final wrestling run.
Big Show was one of the most heavily featured stars on WWE programming until a decade ago. The World's Largest Athlete was put in big matches very often and was involved in major storylines despite fan criticism. He joined the Tony Khan led promotion under his real name "Paul Wight" back in 2021 ending his 22-year tenure with WWE.
Wight has not wrestled a single match since January of last year due to injuries. However, he got physically involved at the recent Tailgate Brawl event helping Big Boom A.J. and QT Marshall beat RPG Vice. The WWE Legend recently teased a wrestling return while speaking on NotSam Wrestling Live stating that he's not ready to hang up his boots.
This led to a lot of fans sharing their discontent over the news. A lot of fans even urged Tony not to go through with Paul's wish to have one final wrestling run before retiring.

Paul Wight made his debut for the Tony Khan led promotion back in 2021
After winning multiple championships including several world titles, Big Show finally left WWE to join All Elite Wrestling. He made his debut on the company's programming on the March 3rd 2021 episode of Dynamite titled "The Crossroads".
He initially provided commentary along with Tony Schiavone for AEW Dark: Elevation. He later made his in-ring debut for the company beating Q.T. Marshall at the All Out event in the same year.
It will be interesting to see what Tony Khan has planned for the former World Heavyweight Champion if he actually has one final run in the company.
