AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has brought many former WWE superstars to his promotion. Another name recently appeared on their television programming, and now Khan has addressed her current status.The aforementioned star, who was signed to a WWE ID contract earlier this year, is Zayda Steel. She was perceived as a top prospect before her contract expired in early October. On the recent special Tuesday episode of ROH on HonorClub, Steel was seen in a backstage segment with Leila Grey. This led to speculations that she had signed with Tony Khan's company.During the pre-show media call for ROH Final Battle, Khan was asked about her status. While he did not confirm her signing, he praised the former WWE superstar and said he was interested in seeing more of her work in Ring of Honor moving forward.“Well, I think we’ll stay tuned as Zayda Steel’s doing a great job and I think she does great work. She’s come out and we saw that promo with Leila Grey. He has been dealing with a foot injury, but was expected to come back around November. “I didn’t know that a few months ago that was gonna be the case, or we probably would have crowned an Interim TV Champion for when he is back. We’re at the point now where I think Nick is getting close, hopefully to coming back, and he’s a great, young wrestler," Khan said.
