Toni Storm made an interesting callback to one of her earlier matches. She recently paid tribute to a current WWE champion by referencing an iconic spot from their last match against one another. The Timeless One has had several incredible matches this year, but a match that completely stole the show was her Hollywood Ending with Mariah May at AEW Revolution. This is arguably still the best match from both women throughout 2025, even with May now becoming Blake Monroe on NXT.This match featured several brutal spots, and both women went to great lengths to inflict punishment on each other. At one point in the bout, Toni Storm had reached peak levels of insanity, as she wrapped her knuckles with tape and dug them into a bucket with broken glass. She wished to coat her knuckles with this and have a fistfight with Mariah.Although hesitant, The Glamour ended up doing the same, and both women began a fistfight with Toni landing a right hook that ended up busting May open. Tonight at Blood and Guts, the former AEW Women's World Champion recreated this spot and used it to land shots at Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir.Toni Storm also took another page out of NXT Women's North American Champion Blake Monroe's book by bringing in a shoe to the match and striking some of her opponents with its heel. These were only snipped from the levels of chaos present during the Women's Blood and Guts match. This comes at an interesting moment, as last night on NXT, Monroe spoke with her other, much darker persona, who is also the Woman from Hell, similar to how she was labeled as in AEW.The tale of Toni Storm and Mariah May will be etched forever in women's wrestling history. This is a feud that got the attention of the entire industry, and one that had a perfect ending. With both women seemingly referencing their feud this week alone, this is a testament to how great it was.
