The Young Bucks have been urged to join a top AEW faction in recent weeks. Following the debate that had been brewing, they provided official confirmation of their uncertain status with the aforementioned stable.

Matthew and Nicholas were in the prime of their careers until the AEW All In 2025 event, where they lost to Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay. According to the stipulation, they were removed from their EVP titles. Since that time, their standings in the Jacksonville-based promotion have declined significantly, and the duo has also faced financial difficulties.

A week ago, their former Elite factionmate, Kazuchika Okada, offered them help and made a proposition for The Young Bucks to join his current faction, The Don Callis Family. In a recent episode on their Being The Elite YouTube channel, Okada once again approached them with the same offer.

To persuade them even more, The Rainmaker gave his new action figures as a gift to The Young Bucks. However, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson clarified that they were still considering his offer to join The Don Callis Family before leaving the scene.

The Young Bucks discussed major reunion in AEW

The Young Bucks have been portrayed as top heels in AEW for a long time, which has prevented them from reuniting with their Elite faction members, Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega, who have been babyfaces. However, Matthew Jackson stated in an interview with the Battleground Podcast that the group might reunite before each member retires.

"I'm not saying that's gonna happen, but I think it'd be silly to not do it before we call it quits, before Kenny calls it quits, before Hangman calls it quits. I think that there's money in it, and I think it would be ridiculous not to revisit it at least one more time," said Matt Jackson.

With Matthew Jackson himself saying that the Elite reuniting is a possibility, it will be a highly captivating and memorable moment for AEW.
