Last Saturday at Full Gear 2025, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley kicked off the Casino Gauntlet Match which would crown the inaugural AEW National Champion. Despite entering the bout as its first two entrants, The Standard of Excellence and The All-Mighty were unable to capture the belt, which ended up in the grasp of the eventual winner of the matchup, Ricochet.

Although The Hurt Syndicate were not featured on this week's AEW programming in the aftermath of Full Gear, Benjamin and MVP showed up at an event organized by independent promotion 4th Rope Wrestling this Friday. The Gold Standard and The Ballin' Superstar were notably reunited with their former stable-mate, Cedric Alexander, at the show, photographic stills of which are currently making the rounds on social media.

Hurt Syndicate member's warning to Ricochet after AEW Full Gear

For a couple of months now, The Hurt Syndicate has been locked in a feud with The Demand. The rivalry played out last Saturday at Full Gear 2025 during the AEW National Championship Casino Gauntlet Match, where Ricochet, accompanied by The Gates of Agony, launched an ambush on Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, and even MVP.

Although Benjamin and Lashley did manage to recover from the beatdown later on in the bout, the victory and the title ultimately went to The Human Highlight Reel. Days after Full Gear, MVP took to his Instagram profile to post a picture of Ricochet attacking him, acknowledging the high-flyer's success but also warning him of future retaliation.

"Look at @kingricochet !!! Doing the ABSOLUTE best work of his career!!! He is SO physically gifted! Yet so intellectually challenged. He doesn't realize yet how much this photograph is going to cost him...Ricochet, you're gonna carry that weight..."
