The matches have a 20-minute time limit and the Continental Championship is defended throughout the tournament by the Champion.The participants for the Gold and Blue League of this year's tournament were recently announced with Kazuchika Okada going into the tournament as the incumbent Champion. The Demand's Bishop Kaun had recently showed interest in being a part of the tournament. However, he wasn't announced as a participant in the tournament.The star replied to a tweet he had made earlier hoping to be a part of the tournament, saying that he tried."We tried." Kazuchika Okada had won last year's tournament is now entering this year's tournament as the Unified Champion.
