After a memorable AEW run, Sting announced his retirement last year, marking the end of an illustrious career that spanned decades. The Icon has since made sporadic appearances for All Elite Wrestling despite his in-ring retirement. During the main event of WrestleDream 2025, The Vigilante surprisingly showed up to help Darby Allin topple Jon Moxley in an 'I Quit' Match.

Following his shocking WrestleDream appearance, the 66-year-old legend had an announcement regarding his immediate future. The Icon recently announced that he will appear at the WrestleVerse Fest this Saturday in Louisiana. He also revealed that it will be his final Louisiana appearance in face paint, and the show is almost sold out already:

Sting on his memorable AEW run

During an interview with Screen Rant earlier this year, Sting described his amazing AEW run as a career highlight before he retired at Revolution 2024. The Icon said the following:

"It was just a highlight, the last three years. I didn't want wrestling fans to say, 'Yeah, he's just coasting along because he can.' I didn't want fans to say that. I wanted them to go, 'Oh, man, he's pulling out all stops all the way through to the end.' It was fun! It was fun going through tables. It was fun jumping off a balcony. It was just great, man, and surrounded by all these great young guys, young talent. An amazing run, and I'm so grateful for it."

Only time will tell when The Icon will be seen again on AEW TV.
