A social media user recently shared a shocking video of AEW legend Paul Wight (fka The Big Show) at a public appearance, along with comments regarding his age. The post elicited responses not only from fans, but also from one of the veteran's colleagues, All Elite star Matt Menard, who lashed out at the user over their remarks.Paul Wight signed on with All Elite Wrestling back in February 2021, following his shocking WWE exit that same year, which brought to an end his long-running tenure in the sports entertainment juggernaut. He has been featured on the Tony Khan-led company's programming as a broadcast personality; however, he has also wrestled for the promotion as an in-ring competitor on a few occasions. After news broke recently of Wight's interest in returning to the squared circle, a user on X shared a clip of the legend on his commute to some event, captioning the post with comments regarding how age has affected him and his movement. The post elicited a strong reaction from AEW fan-favorite Matt Menard, who fired back at the original poster, bringing up the various surgical procedures the erstwhile Big Show has undergone, and asserting that the latter seemed to be in great shape."This is an insane tweet. Fans might not know this but he’s had countless surgeries on just about every part of the body. Knees replaced, hips replaced, you name it. Honestly I thought he looked great!" wrote Daddy Magic.Daddy Magic @theDaddyMagicLINKThis is an insane tweet. During his recent interview on Notsam Wrestling, The Giant spoke about the prospects of his in-ring comeback. The legend clarified that while he was keen to return to action, he was also open to retirement if he proved unable to keep up with his competition, stating:“The last thing I’m gonna do is go out in that ring and have people go, ‘aww, poor Paul. They should just kill him, like Old Yeller or something.’ We’re not gonna have that. If I’m not out there humping and bumping and getting after everything and slapping people’s souls out of their chest… then it’s time to hang up the boots.” [H/T RSN]It remains to be seen if Wight will have a retirement bout of his own in AEW.
