Saraya had a successful run in AEW. However, she has a big regret about her time in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Saraya made her return to the ring after she signed with AEW in 2022. Her run in Tony Khan's company started out on a good note as she captured the AEW Women's World Championship. However, after losing the title, her run slowly fizzled out, and she became just another name on the roster until she eventually left the company.
During a recent appearance on the Daria & Toni Unwrapped podcast, the former WWE star revealed that she wished she had put in a little more effort into her wrestling since she wasn't giving it her all and got a bit lazy.
“I came back in and when it come to wrestling there I wish I tried a little bit harder because I went in there and I was still in my head that I might get hurt again, you know, so I wasn’t really giving it my all — and I kind of got like more lazy — and I kind of regret it, ’cause I should have, like, you know, I had time to progress and I wasn’t.”

She also noted that she took a year out of wrestling to find her passion for it again, but now, she is yearning to get back in the ring.
“So now, like, I was like, okay — I’m going to take this year out of wrestling, find my passion for it again because I lost my passion for it. And now I’m just like, oh my God, I’m yearning for getting back in the wrestling ring.”
Saraya also admitted that she wants to wrestle again
Saraya is still one of the most well-known figures in women's wrestling. She is currently on hiatus from the ring as she has turned her attention to other projects. However, it seems like she misses the squared circle.
Speaking on the same podcast episode, Saraya made it clear that she wants to wrestle again because she is addicted to the feeling of competing in the ring.
“I do want to wrestle again. You know, when it comes to wrestling, you understand this, right? You can never fully walk away from this f***ing sucker, dude. So when it comes to—like, you try—I mean, look at Ric Flair. He’s retired like 20 times, right? He’s always going to come back. You are so addicted to the feeling of wrestling, the adrenaline rush you get, the f**king relationships you build with the fans. You get addicted to that stuff… It’s something really cool that you can go in the ring and make people feel the way you want to.”
It will be interesting to see when Saraya will step back into the ring again.
