Days earlier at AEW Full Gear, Ricochet won his first singles championship in the company. On the latest edition of one of the promotion's two weekly shows, the globally-renowned high-flyer found himself in the crosshairs of musician Michael Ray after repeatedly antagonizing him at ringside.Ricochet was one among many competitors who participated in a Casino Gauntlet Match to crown the inaugural AEW National Champion last Saturday at Full Gear 2025. The Future of Flight managed to survive all of his opponents by picking his spot and nailing Kevin Knight with his Spirit Gun finishing maneuver to pick up the win as well as his first singles title in the Tony Khan-led company. The former WWE superstar appeared on the latest Thursday-night edition of AEW Collision, along with his stable-mates, The Gates of Agony. The Demand interrupted and ambushed Dalton Castle and The Outrunners following their trios victory over MxM TV, demanding the audience's respect and stating that he deserved a televised championship celebration. As he continued to antagonize the live crowd with his promo, Ricochet eventually set his sights on country musician Michael Ray, who was in attendance at ringside. The Human Highlight Reel went so far as to put his hand on the 37-year-old star, prompting the latter to shove him down in retaliation. Ray even jumped over the barricade, ready to square off with Ricochet in response to the latter's goading. Afterwards, however, The Samoan Submission Machine and his allies were confronted by the returning Swerve Strickland, who made the save for The Cowboy and beat up the members of the heel faction's dojo to stand tall together side by side.Earlier this week on Dynamite, Strickland and Page interrupted Joe's championship victory celebration and once again unleashed their violence on The Opps dojo, choking out two of the stable's trainees with steel chains. Swerve had taken to X/Twitter after the show to post a picture of him and The Hangman laying waste to Joe's students, which had elicited a mocking response from Ricochet. The Moghul did not allow The Demand member's comment to slide unanswered, however, delivering a brief but ominous threat."I'll stop you from breathing," Strickland wrote on X.Swerve and Ricochet were involved in an intense singles feud themselves earlier this year.
