Sting has made a lot of friends and acquaintances during his esteemed tenure in professional wrestling. The AEW veteran recently had an emotional reunion with a former WWE superstar who was his co-worker at the height of his phenomenal success.The aforementioned star in question, who wrestled for WWE back in 2001, is Buff Bagwell. He and The Stinger had worked together first during their stint in the former wrestling giant, WCW. While they did not square off against each other in any major singles showdown, the duo did get a chance to share onscreen space multiple times.In fact, they even teamed up in a tag team match to battle Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner in WCW and later worked in TNA Wrestling as well. In a recent post on Instagram, Bagwell dropped a photo with The Franchise where he revealed that it was the first time he had seen him since his leg was amputated in July 2025 due to injuries from a car crash years ago."First time seeing Sting since my leg was amputated. However, before he had stepped out to make his entrance, Tony Khan revealed that the two had a brief talk that really stuck with him."They were showing the video package, and as his sons were about to make their entrances and they were on the stage, that was really special. Sting said some very nice things to me right before he went out that I’ll never forget about how fantastic his run had been, and how happy he was about all this and the things he said afterwards. That was really probably the highlight," Khan said.The Vigilante made his return at the 2025 WrestleDream pay-per-view to aid Darby Allin against Jon Moxley and The Death Riders. While it was a one-off appearance, it will be exciting to see him back on AEW television again sometime.
