Cody Rhodes was recently reunited with a family member and former WWE legend currently signed with AEW. The latter, Dustin Rhodes, is currently on the mend after undergoing a major surgery earlier this year.

Both The Natural and The American Nightmare were key players during the foundational years of AEW, their singles bout at Double or Nothing 2019 being regarded by many to be one of the most important matches in the company's history. While Cody left the Tony Khan-led promotion in 2022 to return to WWE, Dustin continued to perform not only on AEW television but also on ROH, where he became a double title-holder.

At All In: Texas, Dustin won his first singles championship in All Elite Wrestling by capturing the TNT Title. His brief run with the belt concluded at the end of July, however, at the hands of Kyle Fletcher. The AEW legend underwent double knee replacement surgery this past August and is currently on the road to recovery. Taking to X/Twitter recently, the Artist Formerly Known As Goldust revealed that his brother Cody had visited him last week, sharing a photograph of their reunion.

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion is gearing up to face newly crowned NXT Champion Oba Femi at the upcoming and much-anticipated edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Dustin Rhodes' timeline for AEW return

Dustin Rhodes has proven himself capable of keeping up with the best and brightest at All Elite Wrestling over the past six years. Although the legend is currently recovering from a major surgery, he has made it abundantly clear that he does not intend to hang up his boots anytime soon.

Responding to a user on X/Twitter wondering about his and Will Ospreay's recovery, Dustin revealed that he was training hard for his AEW comeback, and suggested that he could return by February or March next year.

"Thank you for asking. Can't speak for Will, but I am working hard in PT to get back to you guys. I will most likely be back late Feb, early March. I am 56, and nothing will hold me back from this goal."

It remains to be seen when Dustin Rhodes will step back into the squared circle.
