A major AEW star's show was recently canceled. Fans expressed their discontent since the production was called off. RJ City, one of the top writers of the Jacksonville-based promotion, hosted the final episode of Hey! (EW), which was uploaded to AEW's YouTube channel on December 7. Over the years, he produced more than 160 episodes, featuring multiple stars as guests. The show was exceptional because it asked unorthodox questions to the guest. The final episode of Hey! (EW) featured Tony Khan, Mercedes Mone, and RJ City mocking Triple H, and a segment also involved former guest Eddie Kingston. Renee Paquette made a surprise appearance as well, attacking the host for not stopping blabbering. After the confrontation with Renee Paquette, RJ City took to X and announced this fight as his retirement match."My retirement match," he wrote.RJ City reveals why AEW President Tony Khan canceled the showTony Khan made a special appearance on Hey! (EW), and RJ City wasted no time revealing why AEW is stopping production of the show.At the very start of the show, the host disclosed that Tony called off the show after realizing he was paying for the production. He also said the show is ending as they have reached the end of the guest list."Welcome to Hey! (EW). I am RJ City, and my guest is nobody, because this is the final episode. Why? Multiple reasons. One, once Tony Khan found out he was actually paying for the show and it was not a WBD college-credited internship like I initially claimed, he pulled the plug faster than you could say Rampage. I guess a sign and two mugs is too much for the budget (...) Two. We’ve come to the end of the guest list. We are down to the nos and the a**holes and many of them are both," he said.It remains to be seen what is next for RJ City in AEW.
