Mercedes Mone faced a huge setback this past Friday at a major non-AEW event. The former WWE superstar has now sent a strongly-worded message to her upcoming opponent, Leila Grey, on social media after the latter confronted her backstage.

Earlier in October at AEW WrestleDream 2025, Mercedes Mone broke Ultimo Dragon's legendary record and won her history-making eleventh title when she defeated Mina Shirakawa to become the Interim ROH Women's World Television Champion. Soon afterwards, the erstwhile Sasha Banks was called out by the lineal holder of the belt, Red Velvet, and the two battled it out in a title unification bout on the November 19 edition of AEW Collision, with Mercedes emerging victorious.

This past Friday at ROH Final Battle, "13 Belts" Mone defended the ROH Women's World TV Championship against Velvet once again, but the latter shockingly managed to execute a pinfall over Mercedes, winning the title in the process. Afterwards, The CEO was approached backstage by Leila Grey, and though the Sky Flight member tried to console Mone, she only lashed out in return, prompting Leila to issue a challenge for her TBS Championship on AEW Collision.

Ahead of their title bout on the Saturday-night show, Mercedes has taken to X/Twitter to send an explicit warning to Grey, writing:

"IM GOING TO BEAT YOUR F****** A** TOMORROW @Miss_LeilaGrey #AEWCollision 🤬😶🤑," wrote Mone.

It remains to be seen if Mercedes will be able to put Leila away this weekend on Collision.

Mercedes Mone was defeated at AEW's latest pay-per-view

Mercedes Mone's loss to Red Velvet at ROH Final Battle was not her only setback in recent weeks. Last month at AEW Full Gear 2025, The Boss challenged Kris Statlander for her AEW Women's World Championship. Despite holding two prior victories over The Galaxy's Greatest Alien from last year, Mercedes was defeated by Stat at the pay-per-view, as the latter handed the ex-WWE star her second AEW singles loss.
