Matt Hardy has been part of the TNA roster since 2024. He said he's trying to stop TNA from copying AEW's strategy.
Matt Hardy has competed for every major promotion, such as WWE, AEW, and TNA Wrestling. Currently, Hardy is signed to a deal with TNA Wrestling, where he and Jeff Hardy are the current Tag Team Champions. Given that he worked for a lot of wrestling promotions, he has his idea of how TNA could stand out.
During a recent episode of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former WWE star said that he wants TNA to focus more on storytelling rather than five-star matches like AEW does.
"And one thing I can say, I'll say this off the top. I want us to focus on story more than f**king five star matches because that's f**king way too overdone now. I mean in AEW they can have all those but like the type of audience we are looking for are people that are getting compelled by the storytelling and the characters. That is something I want to focus on. I'll say that blatantly right up front."

Matt Hardy commented on the possibility of winning a World Title again
Matt Hardy found a lot of success during his previous run in TNA. He even won the World Title a few times. However, he hasn't won any singles gold since leaving WWE and is instead focused on tag team wrestling.
During an episode of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, a fan asked the wrestling veteran if he would ever win a World Title again. Matt replied that it depends on Jeff Hardy. He noted that it is a possibility of him pursuing the World Title if Jeff Hardy is out with an injury.
"I think a lot of that would depend on probably Jeff's status. Uh, the only thing I think would make me go in in that direction at all is if Jeff was hurt or injured. Jeff had had a little injury that's kind of been bugging him, but he's getting a little better now. But, say if something happened and Jeff was hurting on his own, like I wouldn't be opposed or if he had to be out for an extended amount of time, I wouldn't be opposed to having a TNA run for a world championship, you know, and possibly trying to do what I could to to pitch in and contribute and help with the company if need be. So I don't know, but once again, I would never say never."
It will be nice to see Matt Hardy win the TNA World Title again.
