Despite being previously advertised, Ric Flair did not make a live appearance during AEW Blood and Guts last week due to health reasons. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat has now just confirmed what the reports have mentioned.
It was revealed that the Nature Boy and Steamboat were going to appear at the Greensboro Coliseum for the show, but it was not revealed in what capacity their appearance would be. Flair did not appear during the live show, and The Dragon was the only one who appeared during his segment with both FTR and Brodido.
During his appearance on Apter Chat, Ricky Steamboat was asked about Ric Flair after he could not appear during the live show. The legend briefly met with the crowd before the show went on air, before having to leave the venue. Steamboat mentioned how, before leaving Greensboro, Flair had already booked an appointment for some MRIs for his torn rotator cuff.
"Yeah, I know that when he was leaving Greensboro the next day, he had an appointment set, something set up to where some MRIs were looking at his rotator cuff." [11:11-11:23]

What was indicated in the report about Ric Flair's condition?
At Blood and Guts, Ricky Steamboat was the only one who came out for the segment, where he had a brief run-in with FTR. After an exchange of words, they blindsided the veteran and were about to hit him with a Spike Piledriver if not for Brodido coming to his aid.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Ric Flair seemed to be booked for this segment as well, but he had to leave the arena due to being in a lot of pain due to his rotator cuff injury.
Despite his fair share of health concerns and injuries, the Nature Boy has made it a habit to continue making appearances for the industry. Whether this would be for conventions, some shows, and even for AEW at times.
We at Sportskeeda hope for a quick and smooth recovery for the WWE Hall of Famer.
