Liv Morgan's kayfabe ex-girlfriend, CJ Perry (fka Lana), recalled how Liv interrupted her wedding with AEW star Bobby Lashley. On an episode of WWE RAW back in 2019, there was a segment featuring the wedding of Lana and Lashley as part of a storyline. However, Morgan interrupted the segment and revealed that she was Lana's ex-girlfriend.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, CJ Perry revealed that the storyline was Paul Heyman's idea, and she didn't know it was going to be Morgan.

"So this, again, was a Paul Heyman story, and I thought it was great, because I thought someone was going to interrupt. I thought Liv was gonna interrupt for Bobby Lashley, and I liked the spin on it. I didn't know it was gonna be Liv Morgan. He originally said, we're thinking about maybe Ruby, Liv, Daria. All of them really made sense to me. All of them, yeah, it really connected to me," Perry recalled.

CJ Perry further revealed how the storyline contrasted with her real life:

"We were just told that week by week, we're gonna figure it out. And so me and Liv wanted to commit to it fully. We are very close friends. We had spent a lot of time together, and yeah, I had, throughout my life, dealt with my own s*xuality. Not issues, what's the right word? I guess, not being fully straight, questioning my own s*xuality throughout my life. So to me, I identified to it completely." [chrisvanvliet.com]

CJ Perry on the fan reception for her storyline with Liv Morgan

In the same interview, CJ Perry (fka Lana) also revealed how fans thought that her ex-girlfriend storyline with Liv Morgan was polarizing, and their reaction might have affected the story:

"The fans [thought] it was polarizing. Some people really loved it, and other fans didn't. And so who knows how the fans' reaction affected it, I don't know. But it leaves the door open, anything can happen. It’s wrestling, anything can happen." [H/T chrisvanvliet.com]

Only time will tell if the storyline will ever be revisited.
