John Cena namedrops top AEW star ahead of his WWE retirement

WWE legend John Cena mentioned a prominent AEW name just days ahead of his in-ring retirement. The Cenation Leader namedropped the star while talking about the Stamford-based promotion's second language problem.

John Cena namedropped top AEW star Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro). After a lengthy retirement tour, Cena is slated for his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13 against Gunther. Ahead of his retirement, Cena reflected on the second language problem in WWE.

Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience recently, the 17-time WWE World Champion revealed how the Stamford-based promotion held language programs for wrestlers whose first language was not English. Cena disclosed that Claudio Castagnoli took the course despite already knowing four or five languages.

"Claudio Castagnoli, who I think speaks four or five languages already and he just wanted to take like a brush up course."

John Cena claims he will be forgotten after retirement

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Gunther won The Last Time Is Now Tournament to become John Cena's last opponent at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. Ahead of his retirement match, Cena made a startling claim.

Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience, Cena claimed that he will be forgotten after his retirement, as WWE will be focusing on the Road to WrestleMania 42.

“I’m gonna retire on the 13th, they will be moved on by the Royal Rumble, and that is real facts, I will be forgotten. That is not a plea to [sic] sympathy of like ‘Always Remember Me.’ By the Royal Rumble, the Road to WrestleMania, nobody gives a f*ck, ‘cause they’re focusing on what the show is. That’s like three weeks after I retire, three weeks after I retire, nobody’s going to give a f*ck," Cena claimed.

It will be interesting to see if Cena manages to win his retirement match against Gunther on December 13.
